Living History Days Spring 2013

Last weekend we had our bi-annual revolutionary war reenactment!
We are part of a reenacting group called Vision Heirs, and we have been reenacting with them for almost 5 years, and now there are about 140 volunteers!!  When we joined there well under 100 volunteers!!
Everything went very well, and we all had a great time talking to people and showing them things they didn't know about the history of our nation.  We were at a new location this year which was a bit challenging, but so much fun!

This castle is called the Westminster Castle; or "The Big Red Castle"
We went up into the tower, and I could see all the way to the airport!

It was built in 1892 it is really beautiful inside, unfortunately I was too busy looking at it to take any pictures, so I'm sorry but you will just have to visit it for yourself!

Here is the view of our encampment from up in the tower!
That is a lot of cars!! I didn't know they had those back then...haha jkjk

The castle is up on a hill, so there is an amazing view of the Denver skyline!
Too bad it was so hazy :\

I have more pictures of other things like our battle reenactment!
I will probably post them in the next couple days, so check back soon!!
